A large group gathered to hike together for St. John’s March 16 hike at Durant Park. While we didn’t see many flowers, we did spot a red-tailed hawk watching us as we watched him. This was a very special moment for us all! Our next hike will be Saturday, April 20, at Shinleaf Recreation Area, off New Light Rd near NC 98 W. Carpoolers will meet in the church parking lot at 8:30; self-drivers meet us in the general Shinleaf parking lot (not the small hiker’s lot).
