Most Episcopalians are keen on organ music and traditional hymns; certainly that’s true of us at St. John’s. But we also enjoy a variety of choral and instrumental music at our services, with everything from Mozart to improv jazz saxophone.

The Adult, Youth & Handbell Choirs

St. John’s has a vibrant musical tradition that brings together musicians of all ages to serve in leading worship. Post-pandemic, we look forward to reviving our Adult Choir, our Youth and Children’s Choirs, and our Handbell Choir. These groups have contributed richly to our worship at St. John’s over the years, and have shared their gifts widely beyond worship at St. John’s through musicals presented to the community and at local nursing homes. Contact us if you wish to be notified of future opportunities in music at St. John’s.

Join Our Music Program

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are not able to sing together in larger groups, but our talented musicians are providing recorded music for many of our worship services one by one, with an editor harmonizing voices and instruments digitally. One day, we’ll revive our choirs in-person. If you would like to get involved in our music program, please contact us!
