Imagination and innovationhere at St. John’s Episcopal Church, God has blessed this
congregation with incredible individuals enthusiastically giving of their time and talents
to prepare and offer music at innumerable worship services and “extras” throughout
the Liturgical Year. Sundays mornings at worship, the word “exceptional” describes the
diverse selections of congregational song and hymnodyranging from Traditional
standards to handclapping Gospel and Spirituals, service music, choral anthems,
handbell and chime music, instrumental solo/ensemble selections, and organ/
keyboard voluntaries selected and offered in synchronization with the appointed
Lectionary for the day.

The music ministry of St. John’s offers an opportunity for Intergenerational
participation in each of the three major ensemblesthe BELLS OF ST. JOHN’s [the
handbell and choir chime choir], CANTATE [the vocal choir], and the JUBILATION
WINDS [a woodwind ensemble]. All agesall abilitiesALLare invited to participate
and share in a community where the celebration of God’s gift of music is at the
forefront of everything rung, sung, and played.

Additionally, musical opportunities are offered throughout the year with the Annual
Advent Lessons & Carols service, Christmas Lessons & Carols, Ukulele events,
Intergenerational Drumming/Percussion Circles, TAIZE services and, of course, the
Annual Awesome Arts Adventures Camp held each summer for children and youth.
