St. John’s Rock and Roll Outing

Adult Supervision Rock & Roll Band will grace the outdoor space at St. John’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  Bring a lawn chair, some light refreshments to share, soft drinks, water, and come listen to some Good Ole Rock & Roll Music from the 1950’s, 1960’s, 1970’s and later from artists such as the Beatles, Jimmy Buffett, The Rolling Stones, Jim Lowe, Neil Sedaka, Van Morrison, Johnny Nash, Bob Seger, the Everly Brothers, and many, many, many more artists that you will surely recognize.

This performance is being presented by St. John’s Episcopal Church as a means to continue to promote the mission of Tri-Area Ministry.  To that end, admission to this event will be a contribution of several cans of food, new non-perishable goods such as baby items (diapers & wipes), youth socks, etc.  So, bring along appropriate items, and there will be a collection spot set up where you can put them.

Adult Supervision consists of three (3) St. John’s parishioners, Lee Adams (lead guitar and vocals), Marilyn Adams (drums and vocals), Mike Acquesta (rhythm guitar, harmonica and vocals), and Frank Roediger (bass guitar), a friend from St. Mark’s.  The band was formed in 2002 when the members heard another band perform and thought “we could do that.”  So, through 20+ years of playing together, they have honed their art well and continue to practice at least twice monthly to learn new songs and practice old favorites.

St. John’s welcomes you to join in this ministry with music and songs you will remember from times past, brought again to life in this wonderful performance. Rain Date is Sunday, October 1, 2023, same time and place.
