Inquirer’s Class ~ Walk in Love

Beginning May 7 @ 6:30 PM in the Parish Hall

If you’re seeking to join St. John’s from another denomination, are age 14 or older, or are new to the Christian faith, this course will prepare you to be confirmed, received, or to reaffirm your baptismal vows by our visiting Bishop on Sunday, June 22.

While not required, participation in this class is strongly encouraged if you are new to the Episcopal tradition.

In addition to those seeking Confirmation/Reception, this class is open to everyone—whether you’re a lifelong Episcopalian still deepening your faith, or someone curious about the Episcopal tradition for the first time.

We will have four-sessions which will explore the core beliefs and practices of the Episcopal Church. Together, we’ll be guided by the book Walk in Love: Episcopal Beliefs and Practices by Scott Gunn and Melody Wilson Shobe. If you are able, we encourage you to obtain a copy in advance—check your local library or bookstore.

We will explore four key topics:

• Baptism and Salvation
• Holy Eucharist
• The Episcopal Church and the Body of Christ
• Mission
