Streams of Spiritual Formation Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings during Lent, from March 8 – April 5, from 7PM – 8:30 PM in the Parish Hall. This class will be a large-group forum for introductory comments, followed by more extensive small-group reflection, discussion, and prayer. (Each participant will join a small group of 6-8 members that meets together throughout the series.)
This series will be based on the Spiritual Formation Workbook by Renovaré ministries. The book is available for purchase online for any who would like a copy, but all resources needed for this series will be provided by the parish — so all you need to do is sign up and come! If you’d like to participate, please register using this online form. (Your RSVP will help Beth to begin organizing the small groups!). FOR MORE INFORMATION OR TO INDICATE YOUR INTEREST, PLEASE CONTACT FR. PHILIP: PHILIPZ@STJOHNSWF.ORG // 919-714-9764 (CALL OR TEXT). To participate by Zoom, join here: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88077421257.
This class is for all those who are finding a new home at St. John’s and/or the Episcopal Church — and for those who have long made their home here but would like to understand their faith more deeply — St. John’s will be offering weekly Catechesis on the Sundays in Lent. This exploration of the fundamentals of our faith is recommended for families, individuals, and sponsors preparing for Baptism or Confirmation,* but is also open to anyone who wants to learn more about who we are, what we believe, and what we should do about it.
Below are the outlines for the readings for each session:
