MEN’S WEEKEND RETREAT

February 27 – March 1, 2026

Earlier this year a small group of us met to discuss what might be an interesting “trek” around and through our Faith Journey. We all thought this would give us a chance to really explore what Lois Sauer calls faith’s “Sticky Spots”. Lois has blessed us with some truly thought-provoking sermons; so, when I told her what we were thinking about, she smiled and agreed to facilitate our Retreat. It didn’t take her long to visualize how together we would trek this path, we would be: Tackling Sticky Spots in our Faith Journey

• What are my Sticky Spots?
• How do I make sense of them and/or make peace with my Sticky Spots?
• Creedal statements and how we got them.
• Miracles, Nature’s Challenges, Healings, ++++
• Discrepancies between different parts of the Biblical narrative.
• Jesus’ Resurrection and post-resurrection appearances.
• What do I believe? Is there important contextual information that would help?
• Does believing or not believing my sticky spots matter to my faith and relationship with God/Jesus?

Come and enjoy both fellowship and ‘no holds barred’ deep discussion with one another. Sticky spots are authentic growing edges for our faith. Bring your sticky spots and let our retreat enliven and enrich our individual Lenten Journey.

Event Details & Registration: Retreat Date: Friday, February 27 – Sunday, March 1

Location: Haw River State Park, 339 Conference Center Dr, Browns Summit, NC 27214

Total Cost for Room (all meals are included):

• Double or Single Occupancy: $250 (same price for both).
• $100 Deposit is needed upon registration and is included in the total cost.

Registration and Deposit Deadline: November 24, 2025 (Balance due January 12, 2026)
