St. John’s offers multi-age Children’s Sunday School classes on Sunday mornings at 10 am in the Education Building. Lessons are structured around the Godly Play curriculum.
The children meet in the back row of the church during the 10 am service and then walk to classes together with a Sunday School teacher. The Children are then brought into church to join their families at the Peace. We also hold quarterly Children’s Homily and Worship services, during which children have the opportunity to participate in the ministries of greeting, ushering, reading, and preparing the table. Classes typically begin after Labor Day and end before Memorial Day. During the summer children can participate in Summer Sundays with lessons from Sermons4Kids at the 10 am service.
We have a wonderful group of volunteer teachers who make St. John’s Children’s Sunday School a welcoming and vibrant ministry.
