Wake Forest Explorers

This family-friendly walking group will meet monthly to enjoy trails and parks in and around Wake Forest.  These social-paced walks are open to all ages and paces (including well-behaved pets on a leash) and are a great opportunity to invite friends and neighbors along who may be interested in getting to know the St. John’s community. Walks will be on trail terrain and usually about 1-2 miles in length, so we recommend using baby carriers/backpacks (rather than strollers) with your smallest explorers. We will aim to visit a new park/trail each month.  We will gather the first Sunday of each month at 3:30 p.m.

Our next gathering is at 3:30 pm on June 6th at the B.W. Wells section of the Falls Lake Recreation Area (1630 Bent Rd, Wake Forest, NC 27587). Park in the first Parking Lot on the right and join us for a 1.5 mile walk on the Long Loop Trail (an extension will be available for anyone who’d like to add some distance). A map of B.W. Wells can be found here: https://files.nc.gov/ncparks/maps-and-brochures/falls-lake-bwwells.pdf.
